Comprehensive Vision and Eye Exams: We perform comprehensive eye exams on patients of any age over six months. At these exams, we will determine the need for vision correction based on your lifestyle. We will also evaluate the health of the eye. Since many systemic conditions can affect the eyes, including high blood pressure, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, and autoimmune diseases, an annual eye exam should be a part of any preventative care plan.
Pediatric Eye Care: 80% of learning occurs through vision. Sadly, 1 in 10 children have an undiagnosed vision problem that can affect the ability to quickly and accurately process visual information. Fortunately, these issues can often be detected at an early age. As a public health service, we provide one no-charge wellness exam on infants between six and twelve months. We also have a strong background in children’s vision issues including the diagnosis and management of these vision problems.
Contact Lenses: Tired of wearing glasses every day? Would you like to be able to participate in sports or other activities when glasses get in the way? If so, contact lenses may be the right option for you. We will help you pick the best type of lens for your lifestyle, whether you want to wear your contacts every day or just for certain events. We are also certified to fit Paragon CRT (corneal reshaping therapy) lenses. These lenses are worn overnight and allow you to go without any correction during the day!
Refractive Surgery Co-management: Looking for a more permanent solution to freedom from glasses? Thinking of LASIK but have questions? Let us help decide whether refractive surgery might be a good option for you. We work with some of the most advanced surgical centers to provide the best outcome for you. Best of all, we manage your preoperative and postoperative care so you can stay close to home for most of your visits.
Disease Management: We will monitor and treat any diseases that affect the eye or your vision. These may be limited to the eye, like cataracts or macular degeneration. They may also affect the rest of your body, like diabetes or high blood pressure. In either case, we will coordinate with your primary care physician to provide the best treatment possible.

Testimonial

This was my first visit to Erie Family Eyecare, and everyone was as nice as could be. Service was excellent, tests were thorough and everything was explained in detail. Everybody in the area should come here.
